YEREVAN. – U.S. Millennium Challenges Corporation (MCC) recognized Armenia as the best for its outcome results among 25 states, Vice President for Compact Implementation for the Millennium Challenge Corporation Patrick Fine told Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday.
The sides spoke on the work implemented by the Armenian program during five years, President’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The works were mainly directed to the reconstruction of irrigation system of Armenia, as well as development and improvement of life standards of the village communities in Armenia. Sargsyan spoke to Chief Executive Officer Daniel Yohannes at the beginning of the year and stressed the program effectiveness.
MCC Vice President praised Armenia and stated that it is the best state for its outcome results among 25 states.
“I am glad to state that the results are satisfying at the end of an initiative. This is my first visit to Armenia and I am highly impressed by it. I have been in many states and can say that Armenia is a country that develops dynamically and steadily,” Fine stated.
Armenian President said that Armenia intends to comprehensively develop relations and continue effective cooperation with the U.S. The investments solved many issues. However, the program needs to continue to solve still other issues in village communities.
The sides also touched upon the implemented reforms in Armenia.
