The forces of PMC Wagner near Voronezh shot down an IL-22 aircraft, Channel One war correspondent Irina Kuksenkova reported in her Telegram channel.

According to Meduza website, on June 24, at around noon, when groups of PMC Wagner were passing Voronezh on the bypass road, they were struck by attack helicopters of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

“At least one truck was destroyed [it is not known if it belonged to PMC Wagner]. The mercenaries fired back at the helicopters from their air defense systems and shot down one of them in Babyakovo [a suburb of Voronezh]. Two more helicopters were also reportedly downed [only one of them was confirmed destroyed],” writes Meduza.

It is reported that one of the missiles [probably fired by the Wagner air defense system] exploded on the ground: an oil depot on the outskirts of Voronezh was damaged. Another shell exploded in the courtyard of a residential complex.

In addition, a photograph of a crashed Ka-52 helicopter has been published, allegedly in Talovaya, 120 kilometers southeast of Voronezh. Another Ka-52 helicopter managed to avoid being hit by a missile with the help of regular countermeasures in Voronezh itself.
