TBILISI. - A new 400-kilovolt transmission line will be built between Armenia and Georgia next year, Georgian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alexander Khetaguri told Georgian Parliament, reports GHN.

According to the Minister the Georgian side need to construct only 14 kilometers of the line, since the rest of the infrastructure already exists in Georgia. Armenia, in its turn, has to build a line of 110 kilometers.

The minister mentioned that the joint power line with Turkey will come into operation in May 2012, in accordance with the plan. Khetaguri said that the construction of 500-kilovolts transmission lines with Azerbaijan will run until the end of the year.
