The neutralization of the criminal by the special forces assault group at the Chisinau International Airport lasted 2 minutes and 30 seconds, MOLDPRES reports, citing head of General Police Inspectorate, Viorel Cernauteanu.

"The attack on the employee took place at 17:13. Border police and airport security officers were shot. People were evacuated from the airport and its perimeter was secured to prevent other dangerous situations for citizens. At 17:00 and 18:00, special operations began not only at the airport, but throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova," said Viorel Cernauteanu.

Cernauteanu added that the operation to neutralize the aggressor at the airport lasted 2 minutes 30 seconds.
