Two people were killed and 28 others were injured as a result of a mass shooting in the US city of Baltimore, Maryland, PA Media reports, citing police.

It is reported that three of the wounded are in critical condition.

Baltimore Police Department Acting Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed the number of the killed and injured at a news conference at the scene. The incident happened early Sunday morning in the 800 block of Gretna Court.

According to witnesses, hundreds of people gathered in the area for an event called "Brooklyn Day."
