One person was killed and three others were injured Saturday in a shooting in the New York boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, CNN reports.

The shooting was reportedly “random” in nature.

According to the New York City Police Department, the shooter opened fire at five different locations in the Queens and Brooklyn areas while riding an illegal scooter without a license plate.

Police said at a press conference Saturday afternoon that a 25-year-old man was taken into custody and found in possession of a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine.
Police said all four shot were men.
