In the Khostinsky district of Sochi, heavy rains flooded the areas close to the houses, Interfax reports, citing Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"According to preliminary data, there are no casualties," the press service reports.

"The water is being pumped out of the basements of the houses. There was no need to relocate residents. The water level is falling. Monitoring groups are detouring the city to assess the damage. [...] The population should be alert and follow precautionary measures. The main impact of the elements is expected on Monday night," the press service of the city administration said.
