One person died and seven are still missing after a landslide hit a highway construction site in Yueshan village of central China's Hubei Province on Saturday afternoon, CGTN reports, citing local authorities.

According to local authorities, the landslide occurred around 4 pm local time.

The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment, and 17 nearby residents were relocated
