The delegation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, headed by Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, is going on a visit to the People's Republic of China, TASS reports, citing press service of the Federation Council.

The visit will take place at the invitation of Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China.

The Speaker of the Federation Council will take part in the eighth meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Federal Assembly and the National People's Congress.
The delegation includes a number of deputy chairmen and heads of committees of both chambers of the Federal Assembly.
