The Rules Committee of the US House of Representatives on Tuesday will debate on several amendments proposed in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2024, including more than a dozen pro-Armenian law initiatives proposed by members of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, the VOA Armenian Service reports.

Subsequently, the amendments approved in the House Rules Committee will be considered in the House committees and subcommittees.

Some other amendments were also presented: the blocking of US military aid to Azerbaijan, enforcing of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, imposing of sanctions on Azerbaijan.

In three separate bills proposed by Congressman Adam Schiff, he addresses the preservation of the right to self-determination of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, calls on Azerbaijan to immediately release Armenian prisoners of war, and calls for a ban on the sale of offensive weapons to Azerbaijan until the latter ceases its threats to use force against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

Among the other US legislators who have introduced pro-Armenian bills are Tony Cardenas, Jim Costa, Anna Eshoo, Chris Smith, Katie Porter, Chris Pappas, and Dina Titus.
