YEREVAN. – Businessman and ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Samvel Aleksanyan, together with his three sons, will be at Armenian capital Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan Stadium on Friday to watch Armenian national football team’s Group B match against Macedonia in Euro 2012 qualifiers.

“My three sons and I will go to the stadium and we’ll win!” Aleksanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, adding: “What’s important is that we win, the score isn’t important.”

And with reference to placing bets on the match, Aleksanyan noted: “I don’t do such things.”

Also, Samvel Aleksanyan did not purchase the tickets for Friday’s game; they were presented to him by Ruben Hayrapetyan, President of the Football Federation of Armenia.

In response to the question as to how they were preparing to cheer on Armenia’s national squad, Aleksanyan said they will go to the stadium in ordinary clothes, sit at the best seats, and shout and jump from their seats after each goal.

“We definitely will drink tonight, and we can invite you, too,” Samvel Aleksanyan noted.

In its Group B match in Euro 2012 qualifiers, Armenia’s national squad will host Macedonia on Friday. This game is very important as it is the penultimate match in the qualifiers. Armenia’s final qualifying match will be an away game against Ireland, our national team’s main opponent in Group B.
