By and large, this is the greatest danger for us in humanitarian, political, and security aspects. It is in no way acceptable that Azerbaijan, by closing the Lachin corridor, is trying to put us in an unbearable situation in order to extract concessions from us, including by the transfer of humanitarian goods from the territory of Azerbaijan to Artsakh. Artak Beglaryan, advisor to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am, referring to the fact that Azerbaijan has proposed the delivery of humanitarian goods to Artsakh via the Aghdam-Stepanakert motorway.

"This form of pressure itself is an international crime. However, in this regard, there was [European Council President] Charles Michel's statement, which is very painful, very unacceptable to us that he is giving in to similar Azerbaijani criminal traps. In any case, the official Stepanakert will make an additional statement in this regard," he said.

Beglaryan noted that the Lachin corridor is the only internationally approved road that connects Artsakh to Armenia and the whole world.

"It is also a humanitarian corridor; no other road can replace that corridor," the Artsakh presidential advisor added.
