YEREVAN.- President of Armenia’s Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan celebrated victory over Macedonia together with the players of the Armenian team late on Friday.
The squad started training to prepare for the next crucial match with Ireland, he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Hayrapetyan congratulated Armenian nation and the national team.
“It is one of the happiest moments of my life. Beautiful football, goals, excitement in the field – it was my dream. Now it came true,” he said.
President of football federation especially pointed out the goal by Henrik Mkhitaryan: “All the goals were just like masterpiece but Mkhitaryan’s goal was the best.”
As regards the next match against Ireland, Hayrapetyan said he avoids making forecasts. He stressed that the Armenian squad features good players who are ready to spare no efforts to win the match.
Armenian national team defeated Macedonia 4:1 in a qualifying match for EURO 2012 on Friday.
