YEREVAN. - The current situation in Armenia does not allow solving elementary problems and endangers our national security, oppositional Heritage party MP Armen Martirosyan said in the Parliament Week talk show. According to him the government’s policy does not go further than words.

“The promised reforms, fight against corruption, the economy’s liberalization and free competition, the liquidation of artificial monopolies, assistance to small and medium businesses, the lowering of prices for essential goods have stayed on paper only. Unfortunately we do not overcome the current crisis situation and moreover it gets worse,” the MP stressed.

According to Martirosyan, as a result of the government’s current policy the prices for essential goods grew by 50 percent.

“It is evident that the government thinks only about its own benefit,” Armen Martirosyan stressed.

He informed that Heritage party and its leader Raffi Hovhannisyan continue to meet citizens of Yerevan and other regions of Armenia.

Raffi Hovhannisyan plans to discuss the country’s current situation with citizens.
