Prior to humanitarian operations in the [Berdzor] Lachin Corridor, decision-makers receive information about who the ICRC will transport, these data are transmitted, Zara Amatuni, Communication and Prevention Program Manager of the ICRC Armenia office in Yerevan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent, noting that this time too, this rule was fully observed by them.
“If problems arise, we resolve them with decision-makers so that the passage is smooth, but we do it confidentially, and at the moment I cannot say more than what is published,” Amatuni noted. She said she could not provide any details about the incident that happened today.
Earlier it was reported that 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan was abducted by representatives of the Azerbaijani border service and taken away in an unknown direction. His fate is currently unknown.
