YEREVAN. - The potential of Armenia’s IT-sphere can yield much more than it does now, the director of Microsoft Armenian branch Grigor Barseghyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Speaking about Microsoft Innovation Center, established in May 2011, Barseghyan noted that the number of visitors already exceeded 1,000 people.

Soon, the innovation center will start the second phase of activities - development of business skills.

"Nowadays the high level technological knowledge alone is not enough to bring a product to market and organize the business," said Barseghyan. “To this end, the innovation center will offer classes on marketing and management.  Microsoft also plans to train local teachers and we shall invite our employees of Armenian origin for this reason. As for the third stage, it implies promotion of innovative programs. Microsoft will provide technical assistance to groups that are developing their own ideas.”
