YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Enterprise Incubator Foundation became the winner of a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) contest organized by the Government of Finland, NOKIA Company, and the World Bank. As a result, a Regional Mobile Solution Laboratory (mLabECA) will be established in Armenia this year, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan on Monday stated during 4th annual ArmTech Congress 2011. 

The Laboratory will serve countries of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia. There are five such laboratories in the world: two in Africa, two in Asia, and the fifth in Armenia, the aforesaid Foundation’s Executive Director Bagrat Yengibaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The center in Armenia will serve all CIS countries including Azerbaijan, but excluding Russia.

According to Yengibaryan, Armenia was declared the contest’s winner on two main criteria: It has a serious programming potential and a successful track record on regional programs.

The mLab will be open for iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Bada, Symbian, BlackBerry, and other mobile solution programs.
