According to the data of the first 6 months, the number of newly opened companies in Armenia is 5400, most of the founders are citizens of Armenia, followed by citizens of Russia, and after that – Iran, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan told reporters.

“I see that the cooperation is going very well. They produce different items - both food and building materials,” Kerobyan noted.

"Communications with India are not yet established, and logistics are challenging. I agree that trade with India has great potential. As per our proposal, the Prime Minister has ordered the formation of a working group to explore possibilities of creating a new high-speed cargo corridor from India to Europe," the Minister continued in response to the comment about the potential for significant trade volumes with India.

There have been similar attempts before. I am the head of the group, and our goal is to make sure that goods from India to Armenia and from India to Europe through Armenia pass as quickly and cheaply as possible. I think by the end of the year we will have a clear proposal on how to create a high-speed cargo transportation corridor from India, from Armenia to India, and even to Europe,” he concluded, adding that it will pass through Iran.
