Karabakh Armenians must understand that "as part of the Azerbaijani society, they will be provided with guarantees of security and rights, including educational, cultural, religious, municipal," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Euronews TV channel.
Aliyev said the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh "will live a normal life."
“They will also stop being hostages of manipulation. I think if they listen to me, they will understand me. They know that I stand behind my words,” Aliyev said.
The Azerbaijani President continued his hypocritical manipulations, when answering the question about the blockade of Artsakh.
In the interview with the TV channel, he stated that freedom of movement in the Lachin corridor is "not blocked," apparently thinking the world to be blind.
According to him, "after the establishment of the border checkpoint on April 23, more than two thousand residents of Karabakh crossed into Armenia and returned without any problems."
Aliyev also accused the International Committee of the Red Cross of aiding "smuggling."
“On June 15, Armenia committed another military provocation and wounded one of our border guards. And the road was temporarily closed for investigation. But it has been reopened. The Red Cross began to transport medicines again and evacuate patients in need of treatment in Armenia. But, unfortunately, when the trucks of the Red Cross were checked, contraband goods were found in them - cigarettes, iPhones, gasoline. The committee admits this. When communicating with us, they said that they did not bear any responsibility [...] But these trucks had logos (ICRC), and the uniforms of drivers had their logos,” the President of Azerbaijan said.
