YEREVAN. - Russian owner of Electric Network of Armenia does not intend to sell shares of the company, said the head of company’s public relations department Natalia Sardzhanyan to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She denied the rumors about a meeting with representatives of a French company that allegedly intended to purchase 20 percent of shares.

“We received no offers from the French and held no meetings,” said Sardzhanyan.

Recently Armenian media circulated news that the Russian company, managing the 100% of Electric Network of Armenia shares, is going to sell 20 percent of stake to a French company. The transaction was associated with the visit of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Armenia.
