YEREVAN. – Armenian government will prolong the custom regime for temporary import for the Dolphinarium-Nemo Company for another three years. Armenian Ministry of Economy offered the issue and it was included in the government’s October 13 session.

The company started to operate in December, 2010. It imported four dolphins and two marine seals under the temporary import regime. The regime runs out on November 25 this year.

Custom price for the dolphins made AMD 250 million ($680,000), while the price for the seals made AMD 46 million ($125,000).

As a justification for the Dolphinarium, the Ministry stated that it became one of the loving places of Yerevan people. It runs not only shows with marine animals, but it also carries dolphin therapy for children with functional disorders.
