Azerbaijan not only keeps the people of Artsakh in a blockade for more than eight months and deprives them of communication with the Republic of Armenia, but also, using military force or threatening it, constantly creates obstacles for the peaceful population in solving their daily problems. The State Minister of the Republic Gurgen Nersisyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"Residents of Sarushen community of Askeran district of Artsakh Republic have been trying for many days to harvest from the village's only wheat field to solve the bread problem, but people and agricultural equipment approaching the field regularly turn into targets of nearby Azerbaijani positions.
Although every time in Artsakh Russian peacekeepers agree on the date and time of the harvest with the Azerbaijani side and it is organized on the spot in the presence of peacekeepers, nevertheless, as soon as the work starts, incessant fire from various types of weapons is opened, after which they immediately stop and civilians are taken to a safe place with the help of peacekeepers.
The residents of Sarushen community are deprived of the opportunity to harvest wheat, the only source of their bread," the Artsakh State Minister noted.
