The matter of reinstating the Subcommittee on Karabakh was not voted on at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), and Azerbaijani delegation head Samed Seyidov’s declaration, that reinstatement issue of that Subcommittee had passed unanimously at PACE Bureau, back in January, is a lie, member of Armenia’s delegation to PACE and MP Hermine Naghdalyan noted.

Her reply specifically reads:

“On behalf of the Armenian delegation, the delegation’s head Davit Harutyunyan took the floor, at PACE Bureau’s session, and read the delegation’s letter…Even though the letter’s text should have been inserted into the folders of documents given to Bureau members, it became clear that those letters were not in the folders, and Harutyunyan read it aloud in its entirety. It was specifically noted in it that the delegation is against the reinstatement of the Subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh.

The information being circulated in the press is extremely contradictory, and it does not contain any logic. The Azerbaijani delegate can say whatever is convenient for them; it should not be accepted as reality.

At PACE Bureau, … the question of reinstating the Subcommittee likewise was not put to the vote.”

Information was spread in the press that Samed Seyidov, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, had given a sensational information to Armenian journalists in Strasbourg, France. And according to this information, reinstatement issue of the Subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh had passed unanimously at PACE Bureau, back in January.
