There is a certain concern among Armenia’s businessmen engaged in exporting to Russia regarding the exchange rate of the Russian ruble. This was stated by the Russian Minister of Economic Development, Maksim Reshetnikov, after a working breakfast with representatives of Armenian and Russian business circles, which took place in Yerevan.

Speaking at the subsequent joint press conference with the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, the Russian official noted that the contacts between Armenia and Russia are growing.

"Trade is growing, mutual investments are growing, mutual interest is growing. Business understands better than anyone the window of opportunity that has opened, especially considering the long-standing and deep ties of Russian and Armenian business. We tried to talk about the macroeconomic situation, give forecasts and assessments.

"Transport, customs, new canals, and other traditional matters were also discussed. We have agreed that we will keep all matters under control, give comprehensive answers to the business, and if necessary, we will correct some things," Reshetnikov said.

For his part, Vahan Kerobyan noted that matters related to investments, new projects, and logistics were discussed, too.

"We have defined a considerable amount of work, and we will get a good result while completing all these tasks," said the economy minister of Armenia.
