Vera Khachatryan, the daughter of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) resident Vagif Khachatryan who was abducted by Azerbaijan from the illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint at the Lachin corridor, asked mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, who was visiting Armenia’s Syunik Province, to help return her father from Azerbaijani capital Baku.

"My father has not contacted us for more than a month. My family is in Artsakh, only I am in Armenia. We are full of hope that you will help us to return him from Baku, as my father is innocent. Every second is crucial for him," said Vera Khachatryan.

After that, Hidalgo hugged Vagif Khachatryan's daughter, and noted that she will try to take some steps in France in this regard.
