Any move for geopolitical or border changes in the region is a red line for Iran, Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Mohammad Jamshidi, wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Outside the 3+3 format, any invitation of foreigners, joint drills and suspicious visits complicate the situation. Iran is prepared to help both sides resolve differences,” he said.

According to the news agency IRNA, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, emphasizing Iran's regional influence, asserts that the Islamic Republic is prepared to contribute to averting any political change in the region.

During a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday, Raisi expressed Tehran's opposition to regional tensions or any alterations in the region's historical borders.

The President also affirmed Iran's support of the territorial integrity of all regional nations and emphasized the need for resolving regional matters through dialogue.

Iran is willing to contribute to resolving regional problems through diplomatic negotiations, he added.

Iran aims to strengthen economic and trade relations with Armenia and accelerate existing agreements between the two neighboring nations.

In return, the Armenian Prime Minister briefed the Iranian President on recent South Caucasus developments, reaffirming Iran's constructive role in regional peace, stability and security.

Pashinyan praised Iran's positions regarding the ongoing developments in the Caucasus region and emphasized the importance of expediting the agreements made during his previous visit to Tehran.
