TEHRAN. – If Armenia and Azerbaijan approve the initiative, Iran is ready to offer settlement for Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Iranian FM Ramin Mehmanparast said in a press conference on Thursday in Kazan, Tatarstan, Iranian Tehran Times reports.

“Border conflicts always occur between the neighboring states. And extra-regional countries try to use the conflict to interfere in the regional issues,” Iranian FM said and added that Iran supports continuation of negotiations and is ready to assist in settling the territorial conflict between Yerevan and Baku.

Iranian FM stated also that Iran and Russia can play a significant role in preserving balance in the region. According to him, important development of the events, tight connections and cooperation between friendly states are important in current world situation.
