The announcement of Azerbaijan’s MFA that the cooperation and strategic partnership of Armenia and Russia causes imbalance in the region is not true, the head of RISS (Russian Institute of Strategic Studies) in Black Sea-Caspian region Eduard Popov informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan are countries which lead multidirectional politics. Baku’s cooperation with Ankara in the military-political sphere confirms that,” Popov mentioned. “I think that Azerbaijan’s economic cooperation with Russia is beneficial for Azerbaijan. So it is unclear why Azerbaijan is dissatisfied with Armenian-Russian cooperation.  Azerbaijan and Russia are in close partnership.”
