Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri discussed the situation in Artsakh, Syria and Afghanistan. Their meeting took place in Tehran on Tuesday, TASS reported.

“This, of course, includes Syria, Afghanistan, and what is happening today in your northern neighbor, I mean Karabakh,” Shoigu said, proposing to discuss current issues of bilateral military cooperation at the negotiations.

“There are still a lot of issues that need to be discussed today and tomorrow. These include issues of education, exchange of experience, exchange of delegations, joint naval exercises,” Shoigu said.
