YEREVAN. – Three servicemen were injured as a result of the accident on October 16 on Sevan-Yerevan highway. One of the servicemen Edmon Aleksanyan died in the hospital .They had short leave permission, Deputy MOD Vladimir Gasparyan said.

Earlier Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that VAZ-21102 vehicle collided with the road barrier and fell in the gorge. Driver and two passengers were injured and hospitalized. One of the passengers died later.

“The servicemen had short leave permission. However, they had no rights to leave the territory of Yerevan garrison,” Gasparyan stated.
