The convoy of vehicles of forcibly displaced individuals from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) heading to Kornidzor is slowing down due to a lack of gasoline, according to Andranik Chavushyan, the head of Aghavno village, who reached Kornidzor from Stepanakert in 37 hours. He shared this information with NEWS.am.

"I have already arrived in Armenia and am in Vayk. The queue is extensive and lengthy. There are issues with food on the road, but at this moment, people are primarily concerned with their safety. We also faced gasoline shortages, which further slowed down the convoy. The priority is ensuring a safe evacuation. We may lack power, but at least we have honest and compassionate individuals," said Andranik Chavushyan.

He suggested that the number of groups receiving Artsakh residents in Kornidzor should be increased, and volunteer groups should be mobilized.

"They are organizing things in Goris, but the queues are too long, and not everyone makes it through, primarily due to gasoline shortages. Perhaps volunteer groups can help expedite the flow of cars."

According to Chavushyan, the population of Artsakh is currently disheartened. "The people are disheartened and want to leave the country."

In the wake of the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, a somber exodus has continued for the second consecutive day, with countless residents compelled to leave their cherished homelands and embark on a journey to Armenia. The urgency of the situation leaves them with little time to collect their personal belongings, as they abandon their homes and property behind.

As of 15:00 Wednesday, September 27, a total of 50,243 people who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have crossed the border into the Republic of Armenia.
