According to the Times of Israel, the Israeli Ministry of Health has reported that a minimum of 100 people were killed, and 985 others were injured and transported to hospitals due to today's unprecedented attack by members of the Hamas group on Israel.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the chief spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), confirmed that Hamas had taken Israelis hostage in the Gaza Strip. During a briefing with reporters, Hagari also mentioned that Israeli soldiers had lost their lives in the conflict, but specific numbers regarding hostages or soldiers killed were not provided.

Hagari pointed out that fighting was still ongoing in 22 locations in southern Israel. He further stated that Israeli troops had reached all towns along the Gaza border and were currently engaged in comprehensive scans of each area. To reinforce the situation, four divisions are being deployed to the Gaza border, joining the existing 31 battalions.
