Russia is ready to contribute to the resumption of peace talks between Baku and Yerevan; Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan know about this, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters, RIA Novosti reports.

"I talked about it today. I said that we [Russia] are ready and will contribute to the resumption of peace negotiations with the hope of signing a peace agreement. And we suggested to all partners to gather in Moscow. [Armenian] Prime Minister Pashinyan knows about this; I told him. The president of Azerbaijan [also] knows about it," Putin said during a press conference Friday on the results of his visit to Kyrgyzstan.

He emphasized that now, in his opinion, there should be no problems in this matter.

"It seems to me that it is quite possible. I just don't see any problem that could prevent the signing of a peace treaty now—after the Karabakh events," the Russian president said.
