YEREVAN. - The Holy Sea hosted writers from different European countries accompanied by Armenian deputy minister of culture Arevik Samuelyan on Thursday.

His Holiness Karekin II expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of European and Armenian writers.

“Writing and literature are the most unbiased spiritual and moral characters of a society. It is stated in the Bible ‘the mouth speaks from profusion of heart’, that means one speaks, writes and expresses things that he carries in his soul. Of course different times have different ways of thinking but the literature of Christian nations inspired by the rich culture of Christianity must lead towards the enrichment of people’s souls,” said Karekin II.

At the end of the meeting His Holiness wished new inspiration to the writers hoping that the impressions from Armenia will lead to the creation of new works.
