During a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, expressed Iran's readiness to assist in the resolution of ongoing disputes between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to a report from Mehr, Raisi underscored the importance of averting foreign interference to maintain peace and stability in the region.
"Iran is prepared to facilitate the resolution of existing disputes between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as it considers the security of the Caucasus countries vital to its own security," stated Raisi.
He also highlighted the significant role played by the United States and Western countries in disrupting peace and stability in the region.
Ararat Mirzoyan conveyed his appreciation for the Islamic Republic of Iran's unequivocal stance on the developments in the Caucasus region. He emphasized the critical necessity for inter-country meetings and dialogues during this challenging period.
