YEREVAN. – Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received head of European Movement International’s (EMI) Pat Cox and Vice President Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb who arrived in Yerevan to attend EMI’s conference scheduled for October 20 and 21.
Abrahamyan paid importance to holding the forum on promotion of civil society’s role in the process of future integration into Eastern partnership states, parliamentary press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Speaker said that integration into European family is one of the priorities of Armenia’s foreign l policy. Besides, it will have a positive impact on cooperation between Armenian and European structures. Abrahamyan also added that Armenian authorities have enough political will for holding necessary reforms.
Cox believes that reforms will even strengthen European values in Armenia. The sides also touched upon regional issues.
