The death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip increased to 9.7 thousand, and more than 24.8 thousand people were injured, RIA Novosti reports, citing the representative of the Gaza Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Kidra.

“The death toll has risen to 9,770, including 4,800 children, 2,550 women and 596 elderly people. Also during this month, 24,808 people were injured to varying degrees,” al-Kidra said during a briefing broadcast by Arab television channels.
