Director of the Tatoyan Foundation Center for Law and Justice, and the former Human Rights Defender (ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan; mayor of Kapan, Armenia, Gevorg Parsyan; and mayor of Goris, Armenia, Arush Arushanyan, are on a mission to the US state of California, the Tatoyan Foundation informed on Facebook.

“American-Armenian international lawyer Karnig Kerkonian is participating in the visit. The visit is organized with the support of the Western Region of the Armenian National Committee of America, under the general leadership of the American Armenian lawyer Garo Ghazarian.

“During the visit, there will be meetings with the Los Angeles and Glendale city councils, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, the Armenian community of Los Angeles, etc.

“The purpose of the visit is to present to the US public and political circles the Azerbaijani crimes, including the invasions of Armenia, the resulting situation in the communities of Kapan and Goris of Syunik Province, human rights violations, as well as strengthening the ties of Kapan and Goris with the relevant authorities of the US state of California, Los Angeles. The visit is especially important considering that Glendale and Kapan are sister cities,” the Tatoyan Foundation added.
