YEREVAN. – Average exchange rate of U.S. dollar made AMD 378.80/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday, exceeding the record index of last week. It is possible that the U.S. dollar may go up for the coming week.

The stock exchange closed with the rate of AMD 379/$1 and U.S. dollar was sold at the rate of AMD 379.75/$1. Only the intervention of the Armenian Central Bank may hamper the increase.

Sales totaled $5.55 million. Exchange offices purchase US dollar at the rate of AMD 378/$1 and sell at AMD 380/$1.
