YEREVAN. – We should comment on the words of the head of the neighboring state very carefully, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan said at the Parliament on Wednesday responding to MP Shirak Torosyan regarding Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s statement.

Shaakashvili recently said that the Georgian state apparatus is more prepared compared to the Armenian. He particularly touched upon the landslide occurred in the Tavush Region on October 2 and had said that Georgia would had reacted more rapidly. MP stated that he is a supporter of balancing statements and comments on Georgia as well. Besides, friendly relations with Georgia are within the interests of Armenia. However, balance should be mutual, Torosyan added.

 PM responded that Armenia should everything to strengthen and expand Armenian-Georgian relations.

“It is hardly effective to make statements on this regard. We have normal relations with Georgia’s political authorities and intend to develop them further,” Sargsyan said.
