Armenia’s former MP, public and political figure Aragats Akhoyan has been released from custody, his lawyer Gor Vardanyan informed.
The detention applied to Akhoyan as a preventive measure has been commuted to house arrest for three months plus a bail in the amount of two million drams (approx.$5,000), Vardanyan informed.
Aragats Akhoyan was arrested for a Facebook post he had made in June, which the law enforcement agencies considered as a call to violence.
