Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna wished Armenia and Azerbaijan patience in achieving success on their road to peace.
At Wednesday’s joint news conference held in Yerevan with his Armenian colleague, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Estonian FM assured that the EU and Estonia are ready to provide possible assistance to the process, but they are not its participants.
Negotiations require two parties, and there are those who are ready to become mediators. But the two peoples and their governments will decide how the issue should be resolved. The EU and Estonia are ready to help within their capacity, the Estonian official said, stressing that peace is the basis necessary for other important processes, such as democracy.
