The Karabakh issue has been completely removed from the agenda. Hikmet Hajiyev, head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Azerbaijani presidential administration, said this in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung.
According to him, at the moment Azerbaijan does not see any serious obstacles to the signing of a peace treaty with Armenia.
Hajiyev added, however, that this peace treaty should not be a "hostage of border delimitation" between the two countries.
Azerbaijani president Aliyev's aide has actually repeated the idea that according to Azerbaijan, the issue of border delimitation may not be included in the aforesaid peace treaty. But here the question arises: what is the meaning of the peace treaty in this case?
