YEREVAN. – World financial crisis influenced also on Armenia’s economy, making to change the policy, Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan stated at the first economic forum of the ruling Republican Party, spokesperson of the Minister Suzanna Hayrapetyan informs.
The Minister conditionally presented events implemented in the industry sphere in three parts: short-period, mid-period and long-period.
Short-period events intend to face the crisis and hamper operatively social and economic deterioration. Mid-period events intend to make improvements and promote investments as well as secure new jobs and conditions for steady increase of economy through reducing constructional issues. Eventually, long-term events include implementation of a new strategy of industry based on export.
The first economic forum of the Republican Party started on Monday. Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan, Republican Party members, United Russia Party member Igor Chernishenko, European People’s Party member Nikolas Bruke and other officials participated in the forum.
