ISTANBUL. – A Turkish court ordered the arrest of Ragip Zarakolu, a well-known human rights defender and director of Belge Publishing House, in Turkey, whom Turkish police had detained three days ago within the framework of the KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) affair.

A district court in Istanbul ruled that 23 of the 50 people, who were detained in connection with the affair, including Professor Busra Ersanli and Zarakolu, be taken into custody, Posta daily of Turkey writes.

Ragip Zarakolu’s Belge Publishing House has published numerous books on the Armenian Genocide, and Zarakolu had visited Armenia in Spring 2011.
