YEREVAN. - Vice-Mayor of Yerevan Vano Vardanyan and first Deputy Minister of Culture of Egypt Hossam Nassar discussed the ongoing progress of the Egyptian days in Armenia, scheduled for November 4-11 and prospects of deepening mutual ties.

Nassar emphasized the key role of Armenian community of Egypt in cultural, economic and political life of the country, adding that personally he has a very special attitude towards Armenia and Armenians.

He shared his impressions of Yerevan, marking the considerable improvement in urban planning and development. Nassar stressed that upon his return, he the will offer the Mayor of Cairo a new package of projects for fostering the relationship between the two cities. He also suggested discussing on the level of Ministries of Foreign Affairs the possibility of turning Yerevan and Cairo into sister cities, which was positively confirmed by the Armenian side.
