YEREVAN. – Yerevan will host Armenian-Belgian investment seminar at the beginning of next year, head of the Belgian-Armenian Chamber of Commerce Valeri Safaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Not only investments but also specific issues will be discussed,” Safaryan said and added that new programs will go beyond traditional Armenian-Belgian trade industry. “We intend to import Belgian chemical products and cooperate in the sphere of pharmaceutics. In particular, Armenia may produce raw materials for pharmaceutics, which Belgium may process later.”

Trade turnover on both industries made $10.4 million and $60.5 million respectively last year. Total turnover between the two states made $143.9 million last year, exceeding the index of 2009 by 36.7%.
