The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Kazakhstan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Murat Nurtleu, have discussed the logistical possibilities. The meeting between the two FMs took place within the framework of Nurtleu's visit to Yerevan.

A wide range of matters were discussed, Mirzoyan informed at the press conference held after this meeting. Noting the frequent contacts on multilateral platforms and the political dialogue at a high level, the Armenian FM noted that the full potential has not been realized.

"We came to the conclusion that the [two] parties are ready to develop and implement the potential. Armenia is interested in the development of bilateral relations with partners, from America to East Asia. And [Armenia’s] relations with Kazakhstan take up an important place. I am glad that there is mutual interest," the Armenian FM noted, adding that specific agreements were reached during the meeting.

Mirzoyan noted the importance of the development of transport logistics opportunities for both countries, and said that he informed his Kazakh colleague about the Crossroads of Peace project of Armenia and the opportunities it provided. In this regard, the Armenian FM emphasized, in particular, that the new logistical opportunities should be based on the principles of sovereignty, equality, and reciprocity of countries.

Also, Mirzoyan presented the situation in the South Caucasus and the process of normalization of Armenia’s relations with Azerbaijan. In this regard, the FM stressed Armenia's commitment to the peace agenda and all constructive efforts for the urgent signing of a peace agreement based on territorial integrity and border delimitation—and in accordance with the Alma Ata declaration of 1991.
