YEREVAN. – The Russian Bear game-contest will be held on Friday in Armenia. It is the second year that the contest is held in the state officially.

Total of 312 Armenian schools and 13 Karabakh schools with more than 9,400 students will participate in the contest.

Number of participants has increased by 4.5 times compared to last year. It proves that students’ interest to education has increased. The contest aims to be an incentive for the interest in the Russian language.

Total of 2.8 million children participated in the contest from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Latvia, Armenia, Moldova, Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Israel, U.S., Germany and UK last year. The contest is held the same day in all countries.
