YEREVAN. - In the foreseeable future the US will not start any military operation against Iran, Armenian military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the Libyan scenario in Iran would be very beneficial for the U.S. However, Iran is an important power, the elimination of which might cause vacuum in the region. That might cause much bigger problems like an unstable situation in the region which is not beneficial for the US.

“There is another factor as well: Iran is still too much of a hard nut to crack and the US might break its teeth. I do believe that currently the US works on weakening Iran’s inner consolidation, but I do not believe that they have achieved any result yet,” the expert stressed.
